Cultivating Understanding

Almost daily, there is a new study, proposed policy reform, service, or product centered on psychedelics. Media outlets and popular programming are making progress towards demystifying and destigmatizing psychedelics. However, we still lack the common ground and shared language to feel comfortable with psychedelics, both at the personal and cultural levels. Our curriculum establishes the understanding needed to make informed decisions about psychedelics and normalize the conversation. The psychedelic experience is shrouded in mystery, but there are a few themes that overlap with most people’s lives and direct experiences. This is where understanding begins.

• Cultivating Understanding examines the foundational themes of the psychedelic experience using examples from our day-to-day lives, as well as ecology, natural history, and philosophy.

• Participants will also develop a common language around psychedelics so their cultivated understanding can be shared with others.
